As the baby items started collecting in our house, we needed to make more room. The best way I found was to clean and purge. As I started in 1 room of the house and donated items to neighbours and the Salvation Army, I noticed that my mind felt freer and freer. If I felt this good after 1 area, what would happen if I decluttered the entire house?
I also learned what emotional attachments I have to material things. I kept old clothes and belongings that had sentimental value. When I let go of some of these objects, I started to gain more and more energy. Soon, my nervous system learned that it was fun to give things away, especially if someone else really needed and could use them.
In my neighbourhood, we have a group where we can post things that we don’t need anymore and a neighbour can request what we post. It makes everyone feel better and grows our community closer together.
Having trouble letting go of material items? Here are some tips to declutter your life:
Start decluttering today and leave me a post below on how it went!
In our current healthcare system, the idea is to restore ourselves to the way we were before an event happened to us. For example, if you had shoulder pain, back pain, cancer, diabetes, etc you seek help from a professional to get rid of our pain or condition and return you back to the way you were.
The current healthcare system works well in cases where your life is in jeopardy and in cases where you need help in reducing pain and suffering. When you need something removed immediately, this is the way to go.
There is also another way to look at healing.
The challenge with this current system is that you lose the ability to find meaning from your pain. You have difficulty growing through the the symptom of pain.
Re-organizational healing (ROH) is more than treating just the symptom or pain. ROH assumes that pain and diseases are not mistakes. Instead, pain and disease are here to alert us that something in our current life needs to change.
Pain tells you about your body and your life. It tells you to stop, pay attention and do something different. Stop something that you are doing physically, emotionally or mentally. Pay attention to yourself and your life and then make a change.
For example, let’s say someone has Lyme Disease. Restorative therapies could include antibiotics, herbal remedies and supplements. ROH looks at the person’s life. The body is part of their life and so are their emotions, thoughts, perceptions, behaviours, relationships, family, culture that they are in, stories about their experiences and also spiritual qualities.
In ROH, the assumption is that we are not looking back into the past. We don’t want to go back. We want to look forward and create a new version or upgrade in order to adapt to the times. We need to move to another level.
When we are fearful, or scared that we are going to lose something, we want safety and comfort and will most often choose restorative therapies.
When we want to grow, feel more connected in our lives, give our gifts and contribute, we chose ROH.

Life is made up of a series of moments. If you miss the moments, you will miss your life.
While we may not consciously remember every moment of each and every day of our lives, there are some moments that stand out that we will never forget.
A defining moment is a moment in time that creates and defines a change within you. It’s a moment where you consciously decide something about who you are and what you represent. It’s when you make a statement to the universe that this is or is not you.
Some such moments could be a time that you stood up for yourself. In that moment, you made a statement that you would no longer tolerate the treatment that you have received and that something needs to change. You decided that you and your feelings matter and that you deserved to be heard.
Another moment could be the moment you decide that you are a survivor and not a victim. You are going to fight whatever health challenge that comes your way and that you are not going to be a victim to your circumstance. In that moment, you decided to choose courage.
The moments don’t have to be something big either. It could be a moment when you were in a rush to do something and instead, you chose to take care of the needs of a human in front of you. You decided that that person was more important to you than a thing.
In every moment, we are making decisions about who we are and what we stand for. Make a list of 5 moments that changed your life and who you were in an instant. If you feel like sharing, please do so below.
“Your days are your life in miniature. As you live your hours, so you create your years. As you live your days, so you craft your life. What you do today is actually creating your future. The words you speak, the thoughts you think, the food you eat and the actions you take are defining your destiny- shaping who you are becoming and what your life will stand for. Small choices lead to giant consequences- over time. There's no such thing as an unimportant day.” -Robin Sharma
The fourth and fifth healing intelligences, are the soul intelligence and the universal intelligence. These spiritual intelligences allow us to express our gifts in our lives.
The soul healing intelligence is a place of knowing. This is different from the thought healing intelligences where it is a place of thoughts.
If you can connect to the soul healing intelligence, it allows you to bring peace, ease, flow, and love to your life and what you do.
This is the space where you can let go of yourself so you can fill it with something new.
There is no way to think yourself to the soul healing intelligence. There are only questions you can ask to get you closer: Where’s the rhythm? How can I express more love now?
The final healing intelligence is the universal healing intelligence. This is the place where expressions like “we are all one” and “we are all connected” come from. This is where we find out that we are not separate from all others here.
We may be individual beings but together, we make up a whole. This is where community lies.
For example, if we take a cup and scoop water out of the sea, the water inside the cup is still part of the sea. Similar to us humans, we are individuals but we are also a part of the collective sea of people.
This is the place where the right people or things, show up for you at exactly the right time, when you need it.
