There are times when it may be better to say yes to something right away before you get a chance to say no. The instance I’m talking about is when you are aiming to do something that scares you. Earlier today, I was asked if I wanted to do a live webinar with a friend of mine. I said yes right away, even though, it’s something that scares me. I know it’s an avenue that I wanted to get into because my patients have been asking for online webinars yet I’ve been avoiding because it takes me out of my comfort zone. It’s easier for me to get up in front of a crowd and do a live seminar than do something online. This was not always the case..... There was once a time when doing live seminars terrified me and I only got over that fear when one year, I scheduled myself to do a live seminar every two weeks for the entire year. At first, I was wishing no one would show up to my seminars. As I got more comfortable, they started to get easier. Soon, I could do my beginner workshop without preparation and eventually, I began to enjoy doing seminars. Now that seminars are in my comfort zone, I have expanded to doing them in French which once against puts me in the uncomfortable arena...until one day it doesn't. Sometimes, when you know something is a little outside of your comfort zone, you say yes to it before you talk yourself out of it. It’s a yes to growth, a yes to opportunity and a yes to life. Your life will expand to the proportion that you do. Need help getting out of your comfort zone? Give us a call for a complimentary 15 min consultation.
