Why is it so important to take the time to examine your thoughts and where they come from? It’s because your thoughts and beliefs trigger the power for you to take action in your life. If your thoughts and beliefs are old and no longer serve you, those actions that you take because of them will also not be right for you. Imagine that when you were a child, someone told you that you were bad at taking tests and that you believed them. What actions would come from that thought? Perhaps you would say, I’m not even going to study, what’s the point? I’m going to fail anyways. Or, why even try? How would this one simple thought that you believed affect the rest of your life if you continue to believe it? Now, instead of believing a negative thought, what if you believed in a powerful one? What if you were taught that you could do anything that you put your mind to? What would happen every time a challenge came up for you? It is extremely important to be aware of our words because we don’t know how it could affect someone else in their lifetime. This is especially true for children who develop their sense of self, right or wrong and belief systems from those around them. Take time to examine your belief and thoughts and observe the actions that flow from them. Don’t like the actions you are taking or not taking? Change the belief system through your body from your nervous system.
