The only person who can heal you, is yourself. No one else can do it for you. Doctor’s can facilitate the healing process but you need to take care of the rest.
Your essence, being and life are the result of the choices, tensions and habits you have made until now. Your body and the world of the future will be the result of the choices you make now and from today on.
Illness and Wellness are Simply Habits
A habit is a routine behaviour that one does over and over again until it becomes a part of you and ingrained into your subconscious. Common habits we think of include: exercise, brushing your teeth, saving money, etc. But, did you know that illness and wellness are habits as well?
A person in pain will follow certain behaviours that a person who’s well, will not. For instance, if someone had low back pain, they might want to rest in front of the tv and not do anything, complain to those around them, expect to be waited on hand and foot, not be able to get to the gym, be more fearful of their movements, victim role, etc. This is known as illness behaviour. They may say, I just want to fix my pain or get rid of it, don’t ask me about my stress or my life. I just bent over to tie my shoe and my back went out.
On the other hand, wellness behaviour is when someone chooses to exercise regularly, eat well, go outdoors and enjoy nature, have a positive outlook on life, have goals, contribute to their community etc. Wellness does not mean that one does not have symptoms. Rather, when they have a symptom, they look for the message from their symptom.
Every small decision leads to toward illness or wellness, where are your habits taking you?

I would add, there’s no such thing as an unimportant decision.
