How long does it take you to make a decision? Minutes, hours, days, weeks, years, etc? Nope, decisions actually happen in an instant. It make take you longer to analyse your variables but the actual decision is made in an instant. Sometimes we hem and haw over making a decision and then we put off the decision because it’s easier to do so. This does not mean that we don’t have what we need at the moment to make a decision. Sometimes, if we have too much information, we may suffer from analysis paralysis. This is where we spend so much time analyzing that we are overwhelmed by the amount of information we have and we can’t make a decision. A quick way to come up with a quick decision is to imagine that someone was offering you a million dollars to make your decision right now, you’d be able to make it. You would just pick an option and then deal with what came next when it came. Same process would work if someone held a gun to your head to do something. You would find a way to do something. You decide in an instant. Forgiveness is a decision, losing weight is a decision, being healthy is a decision. What have you put off making a decision on? Putting something off takes a lot of energy in your body. It also creates tension. Now imagine if you had 10 things that you were putting off making decisions on? What if you had decisions accumulated over years and years? How much energy would this required? Choose now to make a decision on something and comment below after you have made your decision. How does it feel?
